In 2021 the St. Charles County Ambulance District ran over 47,000 calls while serving more than 400,000 residents in 592 square miles of suburban, industrial, rural and agricultural area that is growing rapidly. This was Mr. Cope’s first year in the CEO position. SCCAD has a variety of service lines including SWAT and Urban Search & Rescue Teams, Mobile Integrated Health, Critical Care Transport, Behavioral Health Response, Substance Use Recovery Response Team, UAS Team and a robust public education program; LifeSaver CPR. From early 2018 through 2021, Mr. Cope was responsible for oversight and administration of Operations, Logistics, Special Operations, Facilities and the Non-Emergency Division with over a 30 year career in EMS.
