Doug has 28 years of law enforcement experience in a mid-sized midwestern agency. He led a significant organizational change project, which involved decentralizing the agency from one large police facility into three district stations and a large warehouse type support facility / tactical deployment center. The project involved adaptive re-use of three properties, including renovation of a school built in 1898, and construction of one facility from ground up. Doug has extensive experience with organizational change efforts, facility planning and design, integration of technology, and overall project management. The overall focus of the projects was to design fully functional and secure police facilities while emphasizing community interaction and maximizing organizational function.
