Finding the right site for your new fire station can be difficult. Rising property costs and the scarcity of available land in the optimal location for response times have forced many of us to accept property that is not ideal in some way. Through case studies, we will explore 25 different site characteristics to consider before purchasing or accepting “free” land. Also, we will discuss which characteristics are “deal breakers” and which ones can be managed through thoughtful design.
