John Jeniec joined the fire service in 1998 at the age of 16, the earliest age one can become a volunteer firefighter with the Orlean Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department in his home town, which is located in Fauquier County Virginia. During his tenure he had the opportunity to assist with the design and build process of the Orlean Fire Department’s new facility which was completed in April 2019. After graduating from Bridgewater College, John accepted employment with the City of Fairfax Fire Department in 2007, where he currently holds the rank and position of Captain, assigned to Rescue Engine 433 on B Shift. John was assigned the role of Station Captain during the build process of Fire Station 433 and worked side by side with his City of Fairfax, Architect, and General Contractor partners during the build process.
