Douglas A. Schmidtknecht currently owns his own Technical and Security Consulting company. In 2019, he joined Cardinal Peak Technologies (CPT), as a consultant working with Federal, State and Local Law Enforcement Agencies. Doug retired as a Supervisory Special Agent from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) after 30 years of service in 2015. He was a Senior Technical Consultant and a Section Chief in the Operational Technology Division. He also held several Unit Chief positions supporting all investigative categories. In 2016 Doug was selected and hired as a consultant for the FBI to oversee the implementation of the Interview Recording Management System (IRMS) pilot program.
CPT was awarded the IRMS pilot program in 2017 with the CaseCracker Onyx Product. Doug coordinated and managed more than 100 CaseCracker Onyx installations upholding the rigorous requirements and standards imposed by the Department of Justice. Doug graduated Cum Laude from Strayer University earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems. Doug also earned a Master of Science Degree in Military Studies from USMC University in Quantico, Virginia.
