Paul Segalla is the Fire Chief for the Long Grove Fire Protection District in Long Grove IL. The Fire District encompasses almost 14 square miles in 6 different municipalities and 2 counties in the Chicago Metropolitan area. Chief Segalla has been in the fire service for more than 40 years serving in all ranks in Illinois, California and New Hampshire. Paul has extensive experience in staffing plans; station location and deployment analysis; strategic planning and shared service agreements.
Paul’s educational accomplishments include an Associate Degree in Fire Science Technology, a Baccalaureate Degree in Fire Service Management and a Masters Degree in Public Administration. He is a graduate of the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program (EFO) and has also completed High Performance Organization training from the University of Virginia. Paul has been a Fire Chief for more than 15 years and has served as a project manager on three fire station renovation projects.
