Andy Wienckowski is the Deputy Fire Chief for the Long Grove Fire Protection District in Long Grove IL. appointed in June 2022. Andy has been in the fire service for 35 years serving through all ranks at municipal departments and fire districts. Andy has trade experience prior to and during his tenure in the fire service, in the construction field. Andy served as an instructor for the division technical rescue and member of the Illinois Task Force 1 – USAR and currently an adjunct professor for Southern Illinois University.
Andy’s educational accomplishments include an Associate Degree in Fire Science Technology, a Baccalaureate Degree in Fire Service Management, a Master’s Degree in Fire and Homeland Security Administration, and Illinois certified CFO.
