Deputy Chief Chuck Steichen has been serving the City of Lynnwood as an experienced police leader for more than 32 years. His tenure has included assignments in patrol, traffic, SWAT, criminal investigations, and administration. As a member of the Lynnwood Police Department, he has served in command positions over patrol operations, the traffic unit, the crime scene unit, the training unit, special operations, the regional SWAT team, the Criminal Investigations Division, the Office of Professional Standards, and the administrative services division. He currently serves as the Deputy Chief of the Bureau of Administration and Investigative Services. In addition to his assignments with the police department, Deputy Chief Steichen also serves as the city’s Emergency Management Director, the Deputy Incident Commander with the Northwest Incident Management Team, and he is currently the project manager for the city’s Community Justice Center and Community Recovery Center projects.
