Dayna Lake is an invaluable asset to RRM, bringing a wealth of expertise in both fire station design and sustainability initiatives. As a key member of RRM's Public Safety market sector, her graphic and multi-platform architectural design skills have established her as the go-to person for document and drawing production. Her dedication to fire station work stems from the fact that, in her own words, “firefighters risk their lives daily to serve their communities. The least I can do is design a clean, safe, relaxing, and fun space they can call home when they’re not running into fires!”
Furthermore, Dayna serves as RRM's sustainability champion, leading the firm towards environmental stewardship. She spearheads RRM's Environmental Stewardship Committee and crafted a comprehensive Sustainability Action Plan covering various aspects such as Firm Operations, Education and Training, Design and Approach, Evaluation and Reporting, and Outreach and Advocacy. This plan includes actionable items and a timeline for accountability, ensuring company-wide progress over the next five years.
In her role within the architecture department, Dayna has led numerous projects with ambitious sustainability goals, including Zero Net Energy, Zero Net Carbon, and LEED certifications. She facilitates integrated design processes with stakeholders to fully explore sustainable objectives and develop actionable plans aligned with client missions.
