David Woodside A., is currently serving as the Assistant Fire Chief with Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. Chief Woodside has had a forty two (42) year fire service career serving in various administrative roles since 2006. His current duties and responsibilities include assisting the Fire Rescue Administrator in the planning, implementation, and management of essential Fire Rescue services and activities for Palm Beach County. The position provides operational direction and support to all fire rescue activities and related services, including; labor relations, emergency medical services, special rescue operations, fire prevention, emergency management, logistical services, communications, facilities management, public relations, CIP forecasting, budgeting, and planning and programming renovations and construction of new fire stations as well as other administrative support functions. Chief Woodside is responsible for the Capital Construction for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and related budgeting.
