Chief Flynn joined the West Bloomfield Fire Department in 1998. He as a firefighter/paramedic for 11 years, promoted to Captain and assigned oversight of the Emergency Medical Services Division. Six years later he was appointed Assistant Chief and finally to Fire Chief in April of 2015. Flynn has a Bachelor degree in Public Safety Studies, is a graduate of the National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer Program, and has held positions on various local, regional, and state committees.
