Rich Tyler has worked for Portland Fire & Rescue for 23 years as a firefighter, lieutenant, training officer, public information officer and fire inspector. Periodically, over the past 11 years, he has been detailed to the Office of Oregon State Fire Marshal Incident Management Teams as a firefighter, task force leader, division/group supervisor, information officer and now as a section chief. Now, he believes he has a responsibility to pass on what he’s learned.
