Capt. Douglas Marcus has served with the Peabody Police Department in Massachusetts since 1996, working his way up from dispatcher to police captain. During his time as a patrolman, Marcus worked patrol and detectives. As a sergeant, he served as a patrol supervisor for 7 years. As a lieutenant, he was a shift commander and supervised the records division. As a captain for the last four years, he currently oversees the records division, Information Technology, and all facility operations for the police station. He has also been tasked for the last two-plus years with being the department liaison for the construction of the city’s new police station. Marcus attended the 2022 and 2023 Station Design Conference.
