CAL FIRE’s keynote will spotlight the department’s forward leaning innovation strategy, highlighting how cutting edge technology and cross disciplinary collaboration are shaping the future of the fire service. Central to this vision are the Fire Innovation Unit (FIU) and the FireWERX program—two complementary efforts that accelerate the discovery, testing, and deployment of novel solutions across the state. Together, they drive modernization in wildfire response, operational efficiency, and interagency coordination.
